 Jeremy Garrison is the founder and owner of RisingStarHockey. Jeremy is an Experienced power skating instructor focused on player development & on-ice speed training for all aspects in the game of hockey including the mechanics of the forward and backward stride, crossovers, stops and quick starts, as well as transitions and tight turns. Areas of Focus include teaching and motivating players worldwide to skate quicker, faster, and stronger.
Coupled with Professional hockey experience, it allows for new skill development to be applied to game situations. Experienced in teaching all levels of players with tremendous enthusiasm and rapport.
Jeremy played junior hockey in the NAHL and EJHL, Division I college hockey at Quinnipiac University, and professional hockey in the US, Germany, and Italy. He currently resides in Wallingford, Ct.

Rick Garrison, an Assistant Hockey Coach at Mark T Sheehan High School, is a Head Instructor and is responsible for player and skill development. Rick has over 25 years experience coaching and is one of our most valuable instructors. His area of focus is on and off ice conditioning. As a Firefighter-EMT, Rick’s work ethic and commitment is second to none. Rick resides in Wallingford, Ct.
Wade Winkler, a current professional player with extensive coaching experience during his off-season, has helped RisingStarHockey become a premiere hockey school. Wade, originally from Winnipeg, has played his junior hockey in the BCHL, where he earned a scholarship to Quinnipiac University. While at QU, Wade was voted Male Athlete of the Year. His professional career has been in the UHL, Italy, and currently in Hannover, Germany. Wade spends his off-season in Boston, MA.
Anne Hogan, a Women’s Division I scholarship hockey player at Northeastern University, is one of the best female skaters in the country. Anne played for powerhouse Assabet Valley girls hockey. During her time there, she has won 8 Massachusetts State Championships, and 1 National Championship. Anne’s success on the ice, has helped her to be a lead Instructor with RisingStarHockey and is especially good with our Women and girls’ programs.
